Event Description
NIBRT in collaboration with LyoHub will bring global expert speakers and leading vendors in lyophilisation together to discuss best practices in validation for lyophilised biologics and vaccines. The event will include practical workshops in Lyophilisation with state of the art technologies onsite at NIBRT’s Lyophilisation Centre.
Why Attend?
This is a unique opportunity to listen, meet, learn from, and discuss best practices in biologics lyophilisation with key experts in the field.
Speaker topics will include fundamentals, best practices, and validation and qualification of lyophilised biologics. Attending the workshops will provide the opportunity for experimental learning in NIBRT’s state of the art pilot plant training facility, guided by these experts. Workshops will include hands on experience on NIBRTs pilot-scale lyophiliser and freeze-drying microscope.
For industry professionals you will leave the event with increased theoretical and practical knowledge from this experience, which will facilitate improvement of your own practices for the lyophilisation of biologics and vaccines at your workplace.
For non-technical or those who don’t work directly in Lyo, you will gain valuable industry insight into the requirements of commercial scale lyophilisation.
Key Speakers:
Elizabeth Topp, PhD – Chief Scientific Officer at NIBRT and a founding Co-Director of Advanced Lyophilization Technology Hub – LyoHUB
Alina Alexeenko, PhD – Alina Alexeenko is a Professor of Aeronautics and Astronautics and Professor of Chemical Engineering at Purdue University. Alina is a founding Co-Director of Advanced Lyophilization Technology Hub – LyoHUB
