Mary Flood

Mary graduated from Trinity College Dublin (2022) with a BA in Medicinal Chemistry. Her final thesis focused on the synthesis and characterisation of β-hairpin cyclic peptidomimetics for the competitive inhibition of tumour DNA repair. Mary joined UCD and NIBRT in 2022 as a PhD researcher as part of the EPSRC-SFI Centre for Doctoral Training in Transformative Pharmaceutical Technologies program. Her research aims to address the current setbacks of mRNA vaccine stability via the formulation and delivery of post-transcriptionally modified mRNA.
