NIBRT Appoints Dr Fiona Killard-Lynch as Director of Research and Innovation

The National Institute for Bioprocessing Research and Training (NIBRT) is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr Fiona Killard-Lynch as the  Director of Research and Innovation.   

Before assuming this important new role at NIBRT, Dr Killard-Lynch served as the Head of Strategic Research Development and Director of the Office of the Dean of Research at Trinity College Dublin (Trinity). In this capacity, she led the development and implementation of Trinity’s research strategies and policies and, with her team, contributed strongly to improvements in the University’s world ranking performance.

 Fiona has over two decades of experience in the higher education sector, across France, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, and Ireland. Prior to joining Trinity, Fiona worked at the University of Bristol, where she successfully established and managed the Bristol Doctoral College (BDC) and was an invited member of the UK Council for Graduate Education. Her expertise in securing European Union funding, her role as a Framework expert across multiple programmes and her comprehensive understanding of the higher education landscape have established her as a respected leader in the field.

 As Director of Research and Innovation, Dr Killard-Lynch will play a pivotal role in shaping the future direction of NIBRT and advancing our mission of driving innovation and impactful biopharma manufacturing research.
