TY Programme January 2027. Applications open on the 1st of October

We are delighted to announce details of the NIBRT Transition Year Programme 2027. This programme will take place from Monday, 25th January to Friday, 29th January 2026, at the NIBRT facility in Dublin.

Successful students will get the opportunity to experience what it is work in the biopharmaceutical industry. This programme is open to all students currently in Transition Year with an interest in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics).

Key Dates:

  • 1st October 2026: Applications open
  • 31st October 2026: Application deadline
  • 20th November 2026: Successful applicants notified and placement confirmation requested
  • 27th November 2025: Final date for student placement confirmation
  • 11th January 2026: Program pack sent to students
  • 25th – 29th January 2026: TY Programme at NIBRT

Application Process:

To enter, submit either a two-minute video or a one-page essay telling us about your interest in STEM and why you would like to participate in the programme.

This competition is your opportunity to showcase your interest in STEM and express your enthusiasm to learn about biopharmaceutical science. Remember, all submissions must be original work and adhere to the following formats:

  • Video: MP4, MOV (easily recorded on a mobile phone)
  • Essay: one page document (e.g. Microsoft word, Google doc or pdf)
