Transition Year Programme 2026
We are delighted to announce details of the NIBRT Transition Year Programme 2026. This programme will take place from Monday, 26th January to Friday, 30th January 2026, at the NIBRT facility in Dublin.
Successful students will get the opportunity to experience what it is work in the biopharmaceutical industry. This programme is open to all students currently in Transition Year with an interest in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics).

- Participate in hands-on workshops and lectures that will deepen your understanding of biopharmaceutical science.
Key Dates:
- 1st October 2025: Applications open
- 31st October 2025: Application deadline
- 21st November 2025: Winners notified and placement confirmation requested
- 28th November 2025: Final date for student placement confirmation
- 9th January 2026: Program pack sent to students and schools
- 26th-30th January 2026: TY Programme at NIBRT
Application Process:
To enter, submit either a two-minute video or a one-page essay telling us about your interest in STEM and why you would like to participate in the programme.
This competition is your opportunity to showcase your creativity, explore new ideas, and express your enthusiasm to learn about biopharmaceutical science. Remember, all submissions must be original work and adhere to the following formats:
- Video: MP4, MOV (easily recorded on a mobile phone)
- Essay: one page document (e.g. Microsoft word, Google doc or pdf)

NIBRT will be responsible for students between the hours of 10am and 4pm daily. We do not accept responsibility for students outside of these hours. Travel and accommodation for the programme cannot be organised by NIBRT.
