Torbern Bergman Medal 2025 awarded to Prof. Pauline Rudd
NIBRT congratulates Prof. Pauline Rudd on being awarded the prestigious Torbern Bergman medal during the National Meeting of the Swedish Chemical Society, SCS. This medal is awarded to individuals who have made outstanding contributions to analytical chemistry. Prof. Rudd is a pioneer in her field, having published more than 450 scientific publications and spoken at more than 400 international meetings. She was the first Principal Investigator at NIBRT, leading the Glycoscience research group. Prof. Rudd contributed enormously to NIBRT’s impact in research and spearheaded the analytical expertise we continue to use today to advance our understanding of the regulation of glycosylation and its role in disease and biopharma manufacturing.

About the Torbern Bergman medal: This award was established by the Division of Analytical Chemistry in 1967, to commemorate the 200th anniversary of Torbern Bergman’s appointment to the professorship of chemistry at Uppsala University and to honor his significant contribution to the development of analytical chemistry in Sweden. The first medalist was Gerold Schwarzenbach, in 1967.
