Niamh Cryan

Niamh has a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Biochemistry from the University of Limerick (UL) which she graduated from in 2022. During this degree she completed a 9-month internship at APC working in Upstream Unit Operations. After her BSc, Niamh worked as a Bioprocess Operator in Cell Culture at VLE Therapeutics. In September 2023, Niamh left this role to start her MSc. Biotherapeutics & Business at University College Dublin (UCD). She has successfully graduated from this MSc. top of her class, being awarded the ‘MSc. Biotherapeutics & Business Medal’ on 4th December 2024. 

Niamh will be working on her PhD project ‘Generation of HEK293 cell engineered platforms and design of AAV genomes for enhanced yield, quality, and activity of recombinant AAV viral vectors’ for 4 years funded by Research Ireland.
