Overview

This 2-day course in NIBRT guides trainees through the basics of flow cytometry and its applications in advanced therapy manufacturing, with a focus on cell therapy manufacturing.  

 Using a combination of lectures and hands-on practical training, the course will cover flow cytometry theory, instrument operation & maintenance, compensation, sample preparation and handling, data analysis, and data interpretation.

  • Applications of flow cytometry in the biopharmaceutical industry 
  • Hands-on set-up, calibration, and compensation of a Miltenyi MACSQuant Analyzer 10 flow cytometer 
  • Hands-on sample preparation for flow cytometry 
  • Analysis and interpretation of flow cytometry data

This course is suitable for individuals who are new to flow cytometry, those new to, or currently working in QC/QA, or anyone looking to increase their understanding of how flow cytometry is used in advanced therapy manufacturing, particularly in cell therapy QC testing.
