Design of Experiments (DOE) with Sartorius

Overview

This 2-day, instructor-led course, hosted by NIBRT and delivered by Sartorius, provides a practical introduction to Design of Experiment (DOE), its key principles, and how to apply them. The training is led by an expert from Sartorius’ Data Analytics division, bringing extensive experience and deep subject-matter knowledge in DOE to ensure a highly applied and insightful learning experience.
DOE is a structured, resource-efficient way to plan experiments, understand the effect of critical process parameters, and improve processes and product quality.
The course focuses on the basic concepts and workflows of DOE for screening, characterization, optimization, and robustness studies.

Through a mix of theory, use cases, and MODDE® demos, you will learn how to use the Design, Analysis, and Optimization wizards to set up experiments, check models, and review factor effects using regression coefficients, contour plots, and design space plots, which provide a clear, visual basis for informed, data-driven decisions.

Key topics covered

On completion, participants will know how to:

• Create efficient experimental designs to match the investigation objective.
• Analyze experimental data using sound statistical principles.
• Use graphical and statistical tools for understanding.
• Communicate the results in a graphical format.
• Use numerical and graphical optimization tools.
• Understand limitations and possibilities in constrained situations
• Create follow up experiments and augment a DOE protocol

Who should attend

The course is intended for researchers, scientists and engineers. Typical applications include product development, process development, process improvement, optimization, validation and quality control. No prior knowledge of statistics is assumed.

What do Attendees Obtain on Completion?

Certificate of completion, training materials and 2 months access to the MODDE® software.
