Design of Experiment (DoE)

Overview

Experimentation in the laboratory can be time-consuming and costly. To ensure experiments are conducted in a statistically efficient way, the Design of Experiments principles must be applied. This will also help in demonstrating process understanding to regulators. In this course, trainees will get a deep understanding of different DoE experiments.

Key topics covered

  • Introduction to DoE
  • Comparison of DoE, mechanistic modelling and one factor at a time (OFAT) experiments
  • Practical session: designing a DoE experiment and predictive model building

Who should attend

This topic will be highly useful for process and quality control scientists, as well as quality assurance and regulatory affairs professionals with an interest in quality by design (QbD) principles.

What do Attendees Obtain on Completion?

Attendees will receive lecture materials and a certificate of completion.
