NIBRT, VivaBioCell and Accuscience announce ATMP manufacturing training collaboration
- New NIBRT, VivaBioCell and Accuscience collaboration that will allow NIBRT trainees access to VivaBioCell’s NANT XL bioreactor system at the NIBRT training facility in Dublin.
- The NANT XL is an automated closed-system bioreactor designed to achieve standardized, GMP-compliant and cost-effective cell therapy manufacturing.
- NANT XL onsite at NIBRT further increases the portfolio of Advanced Therapy Medicinal Products (ATMPs) related training that NIBRT offers clients.
Dublin, Ireland: 21st June 2022: NIBRT, VivaBioCell and Accuscience are pleased to announce a new collaboration that will allow NIBRT trainees to access VivaBioCell’s NANT XL bioreactor system in NIBRT’s training facilities in Dublin, Ireland.
The NANT XL is an automated closed-system bioreactor designed to achieve standardised, GMP-compliant and cost-effective cell therapy manufacturing. It can be operated in Grade D cleanrooms with the opportunity to scale-out the process, running several batches in parallel. An integrated imaging system and remote monitoring of the ongoing operations allows for consistent, low-risk manufacture. It is currently in use for clinical stage manufacturing of cell therapies both in Europe and U.S.A.
Having the NANT XL onsite and available for training allows NIBRT to further increase the portfolio of ATMP/CGT – related training that it can offer to its clients. With this focus on obtaining and providing training on the most cutting-edge technology, NIBRT will further strengthen its portfolio of training focused on ATMP manufacturing.
Commenting on the collaboration, NIBRT Training Director John Milne remarked ‘this collaboration further strengthens the ATMP manufacturing training capability at NIBRT which is at present a major focus area in our training offering. NIBRT has recently embarked on a major Cell and Gene Therapy expansion project and it is collaborations such as this that enable us to provide the cutting edge equipment required for our facility now and into the future to remain at the forefront of ATMP manufacturing training globally’’
