It has been a exciting start to 2018 for NIBRT with the announcement that NIBRT will partner with Philadelphia’s Thomas Jefferson University to set up the first education and training centre for biologics manufacturing in North America.
The Jefferson Institute for Bioprocessing will serve approximately 2,500 engineering students and industry professionals once launched in 2019. NIBRT will be a key collaborator in establishing this centre.
NIBRT announced a professional training and development collaboration with Shire the global biotechnology leader in rare diseases. Shire will use NIBRT-GE’s Single Use Centre of Excellence to train new employees who will start at the company’s new facility in Dunboyne, County Meath.
