Digitalisation is reshaping every layer of biopharma manufacturing, from the shop floor to the boardroom. But adopting new systems is only half the story; teams need a shared understanding of what these technologies do, why they matter, and how they fit within a regulated environment.

Biopharma 4.0 Fundamentals is a half-day, live online course which gives biopharma professionals a practical, jargon-free grounding in the digital systems, data, and emerging technologies transforming the industry, with no prior technical background required.

Participants trace the journey from paper-based to fully connected operations, meet the core digital systems (MES, LIMS, ERP and QMS) and see how they talk to one another. The course builds a working understanding of data integrity (ALCOA+) and the regulatory frameworks that govern digital systems, before moving into a grounded introduction to the emerging technologies already reshaping the shop floor and the lab: AI, digital twins, automation and collaborative robots.

By the end of the session, participants understand how digital systems connect, what “good” data looks like under GxP, where AI and automation are already adding value, and how digital skills map onto biopharma career paths.
