Nicki Panoskaltsis

Professor Nicki Panoskaltsis is an Adjunct Principal Investigator at NIBRT, as well as Professor in Personalised Therapeutics at Trinity College Dublin and Consultant Haematologist at St. James’s Hospital. She is a clinician-scientist specialising in translational, interdisciplinary research and personalised therapeutics, with a focus on myeloid neoplasms.

She completed her MD at the University of Toronto, followed by clinical training and American Board Certification in Internal Medicine, Haematology, and Bone Marrow Transplantation at the University of Rochester. She later earned a PhD in Immunology at Imperial College London, where she remained on faculty until 2018, before moving to Emory University and the Georgia Institute of Technology.

She is internationally recognised for her work on cytokine release syndrome, bio-inspired 3D ex vivo models of haematopoiesis, and the development of precision immune-chemotherapeutics using mathematical modelling and bioreactor systems. A Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (London), she has received multiple awards for clinical care, research, and entrepreneurship, and holds several patents.
