Zsuzsanna Kovács

Zsuzsanna Kovács graduated as a Biotechnologist at the University of Debrecen, Hungary. She investigated the cell wall integrity of Aspergillus nidulans filamentous fungal during different stress agent in her BA and MA thesis. Then she followed up with her PhD in Molecular Medicine in the Csaba Horvath Laboratory of Bioseparation Sciences, University of Debrecen, Hungary. During her PhD studies she detected N-glycan alterations from total serum and serum IgG during transplantation in haematology patients with multiple myeloma, Hodgkin lymphoma and leukaemia, by capillary electrophoresis with laser-induced fluorescence (CE-LIF). In addition, she has successfully identified the N-glycosylation of one of the proteins involved in blood coagulation cascade. Zsuzsanna gained the ‘New National Excellence Program of the Ministry of Human Capacities’ scholarship in 2017/2018 and she is a member of Hungarian Society for Microbiology. Zsuzsanna is joining Glyco Science team for 2 years as a Postdoctoral Researcher on awarded EU Marie Currie Individual Researcher Fellowship scheme and will be working on identification of non-invasive clinical markers for diagnosis of endometriosis (GLYCOMENDO).
