Zhijiao joined the group in 2024 and is using directed evolution to enhance sup-tRNA therapeutics. Zhijiao has a background in synthetic biology and biological engineering from his MSc thesis work with Dr Jiazhang Lian at Zhejiang University. There he developed CRISPR tools for the non-model organism Cupriavidus necator.Â
