Palesa Caroline Mphaka
Palesa is a PhD research student at University College Dublin in the NIBRT GlycoScience group, investigating how glycans influence chemotherapy resistance in ovarian cancer using advanced 3D engineered models. She holds a bachelor’s degree in veterinary medicine from SUA, Tanzania, and recently completed an MSc in Precision Medicine at UCD (2024). Her current PhD research is supported by the EU HORIZON-MSCA-2022-COFUND scheme through the CÚRAM-MedDevDoc program. Previously, she worked for the Ministry of Agriculture in Maseru, Lesotho, and completed her MSc project on ‘Glycosylation of Jurkat T cells’ at NIBRT.
