Patricia Bocanegra López

Patricia has a degree in Medical Surgeon from the Universidad Anáhuac México. Subsequently, she began her PhD in Medical Bioengineering and Medicine at the National University of Ireland, Galway. Currently, she is part of the Identifying Novel Therapeutic Targets for Stroke through Glycomics project, under the supervision of Prof. Abhay Pandit at CÚRAM. Her main areas of interest include neuroscience, glycobiology, metabolism and its relationship with cerebral infarction. During her collaboration with the NIBRT GlycoScience group, Patricia studies alterations in the N-glycome of human brain tissue that has suffered an ischemic infarction at different stages of its evolution.
