Managing Asset Reliability: Biopharma Process Equipment with Pro-Reliability Solutions
Overview
This 2-day course teaches participants how to develop proactive asset management strategies for bio processing equipment through the application of best practice reliability engineering principles.
Participants will explore the application of Root Cause Analysis, Asset Maintenance Strategy Optimisation, Strategy Simulation, and Work Management practices to make optimised maintenance and reliability decisions. With access to the on-site suite of biopharma manufacturing process equipment at NIBRT, a practical exercise is also undertaken by the class to incorporate reliability principles and methods.
Key topics covered
- Introduction to Reliability Engineering
- Root cause analysis – methodologies, application, and trigger points.
- Pilot plant visit including an asset walk down (150L stainless steel bioreactor), boundary setting and asset hierarchy definition.
- Asset strategy development – Introduction to RCM, FMECA, and developing a maintenance strategy.
- Maintenance Strategy Simulation and Optimisation to produce a maintenance plan.
- Work management to execute the maintenance plan and scheduling.
