  • Two mornings online theory (Nov 30 & Dec01) and Virtual NIBRT Facility Tour
  • Introduction to the biopharmaceutical processing industry
  • Overview of the main unit operations in bioprocessing including upstream, downstream and fill finish activities
  • Dec 02nd: Optional add-on practical hands-on day 
  • This additional add-on day gives the trainee the opportunity to gain hands on experience of the main operating processes of a biopharmaceutical manufacturing plant including cell culture, filtration, chromatography and fill finish.

  • Understand the main operations of a biopharmaceutical manufacturing process
  • Be aware of the equipment used in these operations and their purpose
  • Be familiar with new technologies in the single use space in this industry

 

Assessment

A competency based assessment will be undertaken at the end of the course. This will certify proficiency in the theory and practical skills.
